Winter has passed and Kanonaden has in the end of March transferred the site responsibility to Vestas. Below is an update on what has happened during the first quarter of 2022.

Knohult & Älgön

Activities since the last newsletter

• All the infrastructure such electrical grid and road works are completed
• All the foundation works are completed and ready for erection of turbines.

Ongoing and upcoming work 

• In the beginning of April 2022 delivery of turbines from Oskarshamn to the windfarm areas will start. 
• All transports are planned to take place at night
• Erection of turbine towers and blades will start when parts are delivered to site and continue continuously until completed.

A lot has happened in the park since the last time, here is an update on what has happened during Q4.

Knohult

Activities since the last newsletter

• All roads in the windfarm area are now drivable 
• The electrical grid within the windfarm areagrid has been established and the restoring roadsides and cable trenches is remaining to be completed
• Foundation casting is proceeding according to plan and expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2022.
• Blasting within the windfarm area is assumed to be completed.

Ongoing and upcoming work 

• The  rock anchoring of the foundations has started and is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2022
• During the next quarter preparations will begin for the delivery of the turbines, which is expected in april 2022

Älgön

Activities since the last newsletter

• All roads in the windfarm area are now driveable Foundation casting is proceeding according to plan and expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2022.
• All hardstand areas are under construction.
• Blasting within the wind farm area are assumed completed.

Ongoing and upcoming work

• The electrical grid within the windfarm area has started and is to be completed in the first quarter 2022.
• The restoring of road sides and cable trenches has started.

The work with the parks' infrastructure is progressing as planned, below is an update on what has happened during the period.

Knohult

Activities since the last newsletter

• Majority of trenches for the internal grid are prepared and ready for cable laying.
• All planned blasting works are completed.
• Foundations are casted weekly.
  
   

Ongoing and upcoming work

• Work on the internal cable grid is progressing and expected to be completed the fourth quarter of 2021.
• The need for further blasting may occur in conjunction to remaining excavation work for cable trenches.
• Casting of foundations progresses according to schedule with the planning of all foundations to be completed the fourth quarter of 2021. Most transports take place on Tuesdays.

Älgön

Activities since the last newsletter

• The park's internal access roads network has progressed and is approximately 80% established
• The towers' s staging areas (Hardstand area) next to the wind turbines are approximately 45% established.
• The works on foundations has commenced.
  
   

Ongoing and upcoming work

• The wind farms internal access road network continues and is expected to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2021.
• The work on foundations continues with the schedule to be completed during the first quarter of 2022.
• The need for further blasting is expected in conjunction to the excavation work for roads, foundations, and cable trenches.

Local Civil Contractor Kanonaden Entreprenad AB commenced construction of the access roads, hardstanding areas and foundations on the 1^st March 2021, the wind park has progressed according to plan and works are on scheduled to commence the installation of the foundations in August 2021.

During the installation phase of the foundations, from August to December 2021, there will be an increasing number of transports to the park area. Each foundation will require an average of 40 concrete cars. The proposed transport route will be from Jönköping via the road sections 132 for Knohult and 975 for Älgön.

Below is a brief summary of the works completed to date and what is scheduled for the remainder of 2021 per Wind Park area.

Knohult

Activities since construction started

• Majority (~75%) of the blasting has been completed
• The park's internal access road network is now established.
• The towers' s staging areas (Hardstand area) next to the wind turbines are established with one hardstand 95% completed.

Ongoing and upcoming work

• Work on the internal cable network of the park is underway and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021.
• Preparatory grading for the foundations of wind towers has begun during the summer.
• First foundation cement pour is scheduled for August with the planning of all foundations to be completed by December 2021.

Älgön

Activities since construction started

• Approximately 45% of the blasts in the park have been completed.
• The park's internal access road network is approximately 60% established.
• The towers' s staging areas (Hardstand area) next to the wind turbines are approximately 45% established.

Ongoing and upcoming work

• The park's internal access roads network has begun and is expected to be completed in September 2021.
• The works on the foundations will commence once the access road network is completed.  The foundations are scheduled to be completed during January 2022.
• The need for further blasting is expected in conjunction to the excavation work for roads, foundations, and cable trenches.
